1st Ginger Lee Nakamura Stables Carrasco V R
Tracked a perfect stalk but had to work really hard down the stretch to get past the game runner up. This was only her sixth start and she is building a really solid record having now won 4 of those including her second stakes race today. She seems to be a grinder rather than a filly with a big turn of foot so may appreciate even further than this but she has certainly got the heart gene and she should put it to good use going forward.
2nd Foregone Conclusion D J C Racing Stables Jaramillo E
Made the running for the first time in her 15 race career and whether that was instructions or just the lottery with the race engine only DJC will know. She got away with some cheap sectionals though and was really game down the stretch when it looked like the closer’s would swamp her. This was another strong effort but like the winner she seems to really lack that explosive turn of foot so whilst she will continue to be a force in these fillies stakes she will always have to work harder than some.
3rd Creepy Crawlies Mb Stables Bridgmohan S X
Got back as she has a tendency to do and with just an average pace found it impossible to peg back the first three. Pace seems to be her biggest enemy as she continues to run well at a high level but tends to not stay close enough early on. She is a decent sort but she has had plenty of chances recently and is struggling to follow up her Honeybee win which came off an even slower pace allowing her to stay closer early on.
4th Pie Hole Night Rider Stables Bahen S R
The crazy odds maker saw this one start as an even money favorite but i think she ran as well as could be expected closing for the last pay check. She is still a very good claim but the jury is still out as to whether she is up to this level.
