   9  FG     LCD Ladies Sprint

The speedster spinsters are geared up for the LCD Ladies Sprint, a six panel dash over the main track here at FG and although we have a small field of four, it’s anybody’s race to take.  It isn’t often that I’d pick a horse that hasn’t won in a year, especially in a stakes race, but here we sit… I’ll put Most Wicked on top today as the 3yo has a pair of near misses vs. LA-bred stakes company.  I know she’s changed hands quite a bit, but I think Luz has this one ready to get the job done.    

Here’s The Field –

Got the job done last out to earn her first win of the ’21 season taking down OptAlw types at DED.  She was third in the LA Legends Mademoiselle at EVD so she’s tussled with this type before and held her own.  She loves to sprint and you have to give her a shot today.

Only a single win this season but she has a pair of runner-up outings and a trio of thirds, so she’s been close a number of times.  She won vs. open company at DED two back then tired to be sixth at PRX, so she has to turn that form around a bit.  This could be a place to do just that. 

She’s still looking for her first win of the year, only has three starts in ’21 and has changed hands twice of late, yet she still may be the post time favorite.  Back-to-back seconds vs. similar, going a distance over this track in the Crescent City Oaks and again, tiring a bit late in the Magnolia at DED.  Is this her day?

She loves running in the LA-bred races and has been on the board in seven of eleven starts this year, but she has a trio of fourth place finishes of late and she has been backing up late in all of those.  Her best would certainly make her a huge factor.
