This filly has always given me the impression that at any time she could become a regular stakes winner but as yet she hasn’t really had the luck needed to get the ball running. Terrible draws plagued her early three year old career but once that sorted itself out her form became pretty consistent and she looks ready to make herself known today. A strong win from the stalk on seasonal debut and this draw make her a good chance.
2 Crackin Around Williams9 Blanc B
A winner of two five furlong races out of four starts this is quite a leap for the lightly raced four year old. She gets a great draw which gives her every chance but she will need to step up a long way to beat some of these.
3 Ewa Beach The American Prat F
This six year old has been a revelation since being claimed last year and is a real flagship for the developing stable. She took her 12th win and pushed her earnings nearer the 2K mark with a great win in the Pegasus fillies and mares last time and that has to be the outstanding piece of form for this race. Drawn perfectly she must be an odds on shot for this.
4 Sweetness High Voltage Baird E T
She hasn’t got anything left to prove at this level but looks second best here. She has shown plenty of pace in her last two wins over shorter so her best chance may come if she can get an uncontested lead and stack them up a little.
5 Perfectly Pink The Freakshow Alvarado F T
Bought at auction for $16 and since then has won five from five including the grade three Megahertz last time out. I like the fact that she has won at five different trips because i always think that is the mark of a good horse here at HRP and out of all the runners she looks the only one with the potential to upset the favorite.
6 Pure Motor Night Rider Stables Alvarado J
Another one that was on a bit of a winning streak before leading them up for a long way before fading into third in the Endeavor. With eleven wins from twenty six starts she is a prolific winner but that last effort was her only run in graded stakes class. She will give a good account but third may be her best hope.
7 Out Of The Park TwinTowersRacing Moran D
She is another that has promised more than she has delivered over the years but she really is not far off this sort of grade and if any stable has the nuts to turn the favorite over it is this one. A versatile filly who may just be the dark horse in the race.
SUMMARY
This looks Ewa Beaches race as her form is far better than anything else going to the gate today. So the race is for the places and it could be Perfectly Pink and Out Of The park who battle it out for second and third.
