1       No Pain           Nj Vets           Sutherland C

Failed when stepped up in trip last time after two good wins at sprint trips. Drawn wide she was taken back and made good ground in the end so i am not sure she didn’t stay the mile i think she was just beaten by the race engine. Working well and drawn the ace as long as she lays up in the first four early on she should be right in it at the end.

2      Karate Hottie            Royalty Stables         Saez L

Followed up a good debut second with a nice win at FG in maiden company she looks like a filly with a future, the question is is she ready to step up this soon. Drawn perfectly for the third time in a row luck tends to follow good horses so i think she may be the one for odds in this race.

3        Sophia Florsch        Wolf Ridge Stables         Prado E S

She was going great guns winning two ungraded stakes but then she was upped past the mile for the first time and was a spectacular failure. Her defeat in that race was one of those funny HRP anomalies because there didn’t seem to be a good reason for the awful race but it was so bad you have to ignore it and rate her on her previous races. On those efforts and over this trip she looks to be competitive but even then i still think she may find one or two too good.

4        Neigh Kid         La Canada Racehorses        Bridgmohan S X

Took a decent maiden over this course and distance and then backed that up with an optional allowance over the same course and distance. Those two wins put her right in this race and i am pretty sure the stable has some confidence in her running a big race.

5        Profound Authority      Asgar         Jaramillo E

Drawn wide but with only five runners it shouldn’t be too much of an impost. A consistent filly she has placed three times in a row in statebred stakes races since taking her maiden at CD. Her works are a bit off the mark but her form isn’t so she is a bit of a hard read. Certainly has the form to be in this.

SUMMARY

I rather like Karate Hottie for this wit maybe Neigh Kid for second and No Pain a nose back in third.
