What a difference the draw makes at HRP. Last time out working hard to a slightly faster first half from the wide draw she was spent when it came time to make a challenge in the Honeybee but today from an inside draw she had plenty left after the rails trip and pulled away down the stretch for a win in more or less the same time as the Honeybee winner. This was win number three from five and as long as the draw monster is kind there are plenty more to come.

She is a bit of an enigma at times because she has to have things go her way to get her nose in front and one feels she really hasn’t found her perfect trip yet. She kept on strongly at the end today but i just wonder whether she has enough of a finish in this class to be a serious Oaks contender.

3        Scary Ghost        Arindel         Lopez P          1:42.29

Pushed up onto the speed she eventually claimed the lead and was clear past halfway. That effort took its toll down the stretch and she just couldn’t hold the two that were finishing on. A good effort but i get the impression a mile may be her trip.

2         Lonely          Ace Racing Stable       Fuentes Ru      1:42.58

Not a bad effort but never really made a challenge after finding a good position and just whacked away for fourth. This was much better than her last race, down of course to the draw, and i am sure there will be a race in her future where she can continue her consistent form.
