RACE 10 FG |

Muniz Mem Hcp (GII) |
$300.000 3yo&Up 1 1/18 Turf |
Was fourth last out v. GI types in the GP Turf Hcp over a soft soggy strip in SoFla. Even though he’s a 5yo, that was his first effort over a wet track and I’m not sure that was his best effort. He has the chance to improve but this is a tough bunch of horses.
Looked good closing fast in the late stages of the FG Hcp (GIII) over this track in his most recent effort and he was only beaten a head in that one. Odd thing is, despite having some very solid runs, this one has only broken his maiden. Is this the spot to finally get that second win?
Ran lights-out to be nosed in the fore-mentioned FG Hcp (GIII) in his most recent trip to the gate. He won three races last year while stuffing nearly $800.000 in the bank, so you know he has class and ability… watch him today.
Sold after that fifth place finish in the FG Hcp (GIII) where he was only beaten a half-length. Seems like everyone was closing late in that one and traffic may have played a bit of a factor there. He was 40/1 that day, which makes me shake my head. He could be in the middle of this.
Three wins in a row and back to back wins since being acquire via the Dec Auction where he went for $85.030. This may be a bit stiffer than what he’s been running with, but I love his style and his results. He may carry some odds as well.
Classy 6yo bounced back from a nice vacation to be a closing second at GP v. Alw. horses. He certainly needed that race after being shelved back in Oct after that poor effort at KEE. He still looks like he has some good races in him so don’t ignore.
Didn’t win a race in the 2015 season but did have four seconds and a pair of thirds while putting away $496.000 which ain’t bad considering. This one certainly appears to be sitting on a win, but this is a tough spot to get it. Still I wouldn’t be surprised.
Closed well to just miss in the TAM Stakes (GIII) in his most recent and that was coming off of a long vacation. Only a single win from his ’15 season and that closed out the year when he won at CRC at today’s distance. He’s run some bang-up races v. tough horses so don’t miss him.
Nice win at TAM in the Turf Dash winning at first asking for the new connections. This one has been on a steady stream of sprints so the mile and an eighth distance certainly makes me shake my head a bit. But maybe they know something. Steady stream of west-coast works.
Draws a tough post and doesn’t seem to be in peak form right now. He was fifth in the General George (GIII) at LRL last out and just seems to have lost his mojo after a hot early part to the ’15 season. Can he re-find that old form?
