1 Battle Hardened Barcelona Farms Fuentes Ru
He is shooting for four in a row after winning two at the high tracks and then slumming it at TUP for a third. His works say he shouldn’t be at the fair track and with the ace gate today i expect him to be pretty competitive. This trip is right in his sweet spot so there are plenty of good reasons to put him in the top three.
2 Bo Buys An Island Woogaloo Ferrer J C
Ran a decent race in the KY Jockey Club in only his third start and then took a long break before coming back in the TUP Derby where he ran a creditable fourth considering he would’ve needed the run. His recent work says he has come on nicely for that first start and he gets the best draw to work with so must go in with a big chance of a second career win.
3 Mount Fuji London Racing Saez L
Two starts for one win he really could be anything and this race will tell us a little more about him. He wont be that far away but you have to thin this race may come a little soon in his career.
4 Rogue Commando Mb Stables Franco M
The Mb TC cast offs tend to mop up these races and this looks like one that will start the inevitable run. Second in both the San Vicente and the Fountain Of Youth he then made ground from a bad start and a wide draw in the AR Derby and it is easy to see that with a bit of luck this one could have easily been in the KYD line up. On those efforts he looks a nailed on certainty in this.
5 Average Savage Threshold Espinoza A
Has been running on late which is something this new race engine really doesn’t like but the trainer will be looking for some click and play tactics today to try and get this one near the front today. He has promised a bit but needs to prove a bit more.
6 Off Center Mb Stables Jaramillo E
Another TC cast off, he tried to make all in the Wood Memorial but was found out by the off track and faded at the end. Works say he can easily provide the stable with a one two here.
7 Coquitlam Warrior Paradise Stable Orozco I
Like the rest of the field outside the Mb pair he is well placed at this level but comes up against a couple of horses from the champion trainer that look a cut above everything else. A contender for the third spot.
8 Life Of Sin Nakamura Stables Alvarado F T
This horse has been bought and sold for a total of $501 but has so far won less than fifty so it is fair to say he has something to prove. He gets the car park today which wont help but along with most of the field looks good enough for third or fourth if things go his way.
SUMMARY
On form lines alone this race looks a nailed on certainty for Mb Stables and will probably give them the one two. Battle Hardened and Bo Buys An Island look the two that may spoil the party.
