$300.000 3yo&Up 1 1/4m Dirt 3yo 119lbs Older 124lbs
The Green Card nailed a nice one for the gamblers… Maxmillion Farm has been on a hot streak and his Combat Wombat made quick work of the field in Friday’s PIM Special, breaking on top and never feeling as much as a challenge, going under the wire in front by four widening lengths while stopping the clock in 2:001 …a new track record. This was a the new mile and a quarter distance for the PIM Special. Twin TowersRacing was second with Hard Discretion, a quarter length better than Creepy Diplmate in third, and Hollywood Eclipse took the minor money.
Combat Wombat is a 7yo gelded son of Comastic – Five Be Farl, by Arian, and he was bred in Cal by Our Athletes. Acquired prior to his racing career at the March 2018 Auction for $20.000, he now has eleven wins from thirty-three starts and lifetime earnings of $3,656.950. The old boy is obviously still on top of his game and it’s great to see! Congrat’s to the Connections!

Combat Wombat broke alertly, set the pace throughout, extended his lead to the finish, never challenged, new track record. Hard Discretion rated well off of the pace, began to edge forward 3p down the backside and into the far turn, closed 5p, second best. Creepy Diplomate sat behind the pace from the rail to the lane, drifted 3p for the drive, evenly from there. Hollywood Eclipse rated back in the 2p to the far turn, split horses into the lane, continued inside closing a late gap. Accountant trailed, passed tiring rivals, was deactivated after the race. Casper Point track the pace 3p, moved to 2p for the run down the backside, tired. Grayte Cruise was not a factor. Milford Sound flashed early speed, tired. Proud Crown was not a factor.
