Stacysmomgotitgoinon won for the 2nd time, and first in a stake, as she rallied from just off of the pace to take the NYSS-Joy. The winner’s share of the $150.000 purse for the 7f turf sprint, restricted to NY-bred fillies, improved her bankroll to $181.720 as she ran her race record to 8-2-2-2.
Stacysmomgotitgoinon broke last of a trio at the back of the field as four horses vied for early supremacy; however, after a furlong, she was tucked-in nicely behind the quartet after the first quarter was posted in :22.86. She stuck to the rail until almost the end of the turn when he was produced for run from the two-path just after a half mile that went in :45.74. Taking the lead, Stacysmomgotitgoinon posted a 1:08.99 time for the three-quarters and gradually inched away for a length victory in 1:20.74. Uppercase was a clear 2nd-best, more than a length clear of the DH duo of Amy Is Shameful and Killeen. Completing the order of finish were Hollywood Romantik, Great Beneficiary, and Approved Sight.

Much like the filly counterpart, the $150.000 NYSS-Bid went to a runner that broke at the back of the field. Norski Raider was last for the first 6f of the race before running by his rivals to snag his first stakes victory and improve his race record to 10-3-2-3 while bumping his bankroll to $216.520.
As stablemate Once Upon set the tempo, Norski Raider was covered-up along the inside for the first of the race’s 7-furlongs; however, the eventual winner was all by his lonesome as the leader went :22.25 for the opening quarter. Norski Raider was still last, and some seven lengths back, as he commenced his rally after Once Upon covered the opening half-mile in a blistering :44.99. With all of the momentum as they reached the top of the lane, Norski Raider moved to the center of the track and was only a length and a half off of Lombardi Time as that runner posted three-quarters in 1:08.70. Full of run, the winner passed all for of his rivals by the time he reached the sixteenth-pole and cruised under the wire two-lengths in front in the time of 1:20.73. Lombardi Time held-off We Rumble for 2nd as Hunt For Red October and Once Upon completed the order of finish.
