He’s a 7yo now and was dropped in for the tag for his first race back and that spelled a change of barns.  The new owners think he still has it so back to graded company where this one did have a little bit of success last season although none of his wins were against black-type horses.  Still, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him get a part of this one.

Nice win last out taking the GP Sprint Championship (GIII) in SoFla, so he’s already equaled his ’15 victories.  He was also a near-miss second on SSM Day, so this one appears to be razor sharp right now.  Give him a big look as he is a serious contender.

Nice second in the San Carlos (GII) at SA after a bit of a dud in the Hopper (GIII) at GP to start his ’16 season.  He won the BC Sprint (GI) over this strip in Oct so you know he has all the class in the world and like the surface as well.  It’s going to be hard to get past him today, that much is for sure.

Already has two wins from his three seasonal starts and that equals his ’15 output, plus he has more cash in the bank.  He’s a 7yo but seems to have everything you want in a tough-nosed sprinter so don’t let him know that he’s old and he may just run right to the victory!

Kind of surprised they sent him off at nearly 25/1 odds in the San Carlos (GII) where he closed well to win by a length.  He’s certainly competed well with the best sprinters in the land and has held his own throughout.  Here’s another spot where he should be right in the thick of things.

His transition from a two-turn Classic type runner to a sprinter has been amazing.  Throw out that Forego (GI) mishap and he’s right there in the other three races.  Solid come-back race to be second in the General George (GIII) and I think you have to give him a big shot here today as well.
