Ifyerwokeyerajoke, off at odds of 17.15 to 1, used a determined stretch rally to get by Bella Chica for a one-length victory in the $225.000 G3 Iowa Oaks at PRM. Ifyerwokeyerajoke completed the mile-and-sixteenth Oaks in 1:41.95. This is her first graded score and the winner’s slice of the purse brings her bankroll to $230.980 for her career where she now stands 10-3-3-0.
Breaking from the rail, Ifyerwokeyerajoke was away well enough to land in the stalking group through the very early portion of the race, but only had one horse beaten by the time Seether posted an opening quarter in :23.56. She maintained her rail position about 4.5-lengths off of Seether’s pace as the leader completed the opening half-mile in :47.27.
Ifyerwokeyerajoke moved-off the rail right around the half-mile pole and had a 23/4 deficit when three-quarters was posted in 1:11.10. She was forced to stifle her momentum briefly until Bella Chica drifted-out at the quarter-pole. Once she had clear run, Ifyerwokeyerajoke outfinished the field to post a one-length victory over Bella Chica. It was another half-length back to Curlina who held off Texas Holdem for the show. Green Eyed Beauty and Seether completed the order of finish.
