1st Distant Cousin, trained by D J C Racing Stable
Its not often that the best horse in a race wins here at HRP but today saw last seasons
BC Fillies Sprint Champion Distant Cousin do exactly that. Running the stalk she always had
the race covered and won a shade cosily by a half length.

2nd Ambient, trained by Mb Stables
Beaten a half length by Distant Cousin in the BC Fillies Sprint last year thats exactly
what happened again today. Keeping close tabs on the winner she tracked her through but
could never quite get on terms going down fighting in the end.

3rd T S Devil, trained by Triple K
The outside gates have be faring better recently and speed has also been holding up a
bit better so it was no surprise to see the early leader from the wide gate run so well.
Beaten under a length in the end she battled bravely and ran a race full of merit.

4th Team Nebraska, trained by Aer Stables
Ran on well to be a close fourth but she still looks in need of a mile in my eyes and never
got close enough to be a real danger.

5th Cozzene Scandal
For a horse that normally travels on the pace it was strange to see this filly taken to the
trail. Whether it was by design or the gremlin random striking she never got into a challenging
position despite being beaten only a length in the end.
