The best horse in the race is the best horse in the race, its an adage i have used over the years when a horse switches surface and sure enough it came true again today. HRP certainly seems far more lenient with surface preferences with seemingly few horses having a definitive preference one way or the other with the vast majority being able to race effectively on either. I have no idea whether that is the case in real life but in general i feel the bias should be the other way round with a few being able to switch around and the majority having a preference. Well whatever my thoughts this horse looked a far superior horse on form and he proved just that by sauntering home by five easy lengths. I think the off track would’ve helped as turf horses tend to go better on an off dirt track but even without that this horse was far far superior. Proven to stay this trip he went to the front and said catch me if you can and nothing ever looked like getting near him. This gives some interesting options for Invicta Group Llc after they bought this one for a bargain price of just $40 as it opens up a raft of possibilities going forward.

Nowhere near the winner in class but his consistency saw him take second in a good enough effort even though the odds monkeys had installed him an odds on favorite. Another bargain buy for Night Rider.

Wet ground extends the margins here at HRP to what sometimes looks ridiculous levels when compared to dry tracks but this sprinter was always up against it going six furlongs more than he did in his last start. I think a route trip is still open to this horse as the wet ground may have slewed the result somewhat.

Simply didn’t stay the trip but that was accentuated by the wet track.
