8 SAR The Fourstardave Hcp (GI) [BC]
$500.000 3yo&Up 1m InTurf Hcp Weights
The old feller’ mowed ’em down like weeds in his yard… and any turf course is his yard. Let’s Do It Big Boy proved that age is just a state of mind as the 8yo gelding stayed just behind the pace in The Fourstardave Hcp (GI), responded when asked and got home by a length to take the lion’s share of the big purse and the ticket to the BC, this fall. Dreams Of Men showed a lot of speed, took the lead into the turn and had it in the lane, but just couldn’t hold the old man off and settled for place. Spiral and Jakarta closed a late gap and ended up in a dead-head for the third spot. Nine lengths covered the field in this big race, showing that it was anyone’s race to win when the turned for home.
Lets Do It Big Boy is an 8yo bay gelded son of Cherokee Sunset – Black Sholes, by Jolly Be Great, and he was bred in Cal by Team 7 Illusions. Acquired by RNP Stables via private purchase for $125.000 back in Oct of 2018, this feisty rascal now has thirteen wins from sixty three starts and mind-blowing lifetime earnings of $2,877.770 – that’s a lot of sevens, coming from Team 7! Congrats to the Connections!
