Always A Virgin Wins Decisively in Seaway Stakes

Seaway Stakes – Grade 3 – $150.000 Purse
WO – For Fillies And Mares Three Years Old and Upward
7 Furlongs – Dirt
September 17, 2022

Tinkey’s brilliant three-year-old filly, Always A Virgin, extended her win streak to four with a victory in the Grade 3 Seaway and nearly equaled the track record doing it. Her time was the fastest in the seventeen runnings of the Seaway.

Unfortunately, I can’t write the kind of detailed recap this race deserves because of a problem with the viewer.

Always A Virgin stalked the pace, took the lead in the stretch, and pulled away to win by three. It was the fourth win in five career starts for the filly by Mr Grusome out of Solvent (Decima) and her first graded victory. The win brings her career earnings to $167.400. Congratulations to Tinkey and his homebred filly, Always A Virgin!
