Snagged for just $7.000 back in Feb, then ran second beaten less than a length v. sAlw horses at FG last out. He’s done well when facing NY bred horses in the past so the barn could sneak in here and cash a nice check if he can run back to that form. He could be the upset special.
Never off of the board in five lifetime starts and has been with NY-breds in four of those races. No reason not to think that he will not repeat those efforts and be right in the thick of things here. The King has a tendency of being tough in these type of spots, so don’t ignore him in this one.
Was on the TC Prep trail but just didn’t cut the mustard with those horses. So, the vet stopped by to change his attitude and they go after a softer spot here today. This seems like a place where he can make his presence felt and get back on a better path.
Off the board in his last three trips to the gate and he’s going to need to find a bit more to be any parts of this one. He was fourth of five as the odds-on favorite over this track back in Feb, so it’s time to find that old form or it’s going to be a long afternoon.
Only the fourth start for this Mb Stables trailed gelding and he’s been tough in all of his starts. Second at GP in an Alw race last out and he got nailed late after doing he heavy lifting in that one. That was a seven panels so the shorter distance may spell win for this one.
Won a NY-bred Alw race here back in Jan then failed at GP facing Alw company. This may be a better spot for him, but still, he will need his best just to get a check here today. the cut back in distance may not be exactly what he’s looking for either.
He’s brought home a check every time he’s faced NY-bred horses, so this seems like a logical spot for him. It’s his first time facing stakes company, but he’s been very consistent with Alw types, so this certainly seems to be within his grasp… and he may have some odds.
Not much while facing stakes horses over this strip in his most recent start. Now that was not state-bred horses, so the going may should be a bit easier here today. He will still need to run lights out if he wants to be involved late here today.
Broke maiden here last out facing state-bred horses that day. So they go for the gusto and move up the ladder in this one. The post does him no favors, so I’m going to have to look at some others even though he could be this type of horse… I’ll just have to see it first.
