With the first four home in the ONT Damsel running almost the same splits for the first half of this race it looked like we may see that four fight out the finish again. But we knew they wouldn’t finish in this final race time and we knew from history this one could so it all came down to the stop watch as this filly proved too strong down the stretch. Stalking the lead she had more than enough gas to see out the trip for a nice win her first in stakes company but i doubt it will be her last. Bred by the owner she is improving gradually and won well today and has the added benefit of being a dual surface type.

2nd Confederate Warrior Paradise Stable Wilson E J

Made the running just like she did in the Damsel last time but the closing time was quicker today so it made sense that she was beaten a bit further than the nose she was in that last start. She did well and this was another honest effort she just cannot run this time yet.

3rd Aquifer Mo Mentum Farm Husbands P

She closed in a slower time in the Damsel last time to be beaten just a neck so as they went quicker to the line today i thought she may get herself nearer the leader but in the end her effort flattened out and she was a well beaten third in the end never really looking like she was going to reach the first two.

4th Strawberry Latte Allinthegate Hernandez R M

With the Damsel form following very closely here i guess we can safely say that 2Lbs is worth 3 lengths at HRP as that was the difference today compared to her last run. I think the fact that she is only 15.2hh may have made the weight a bit more of a burden and in the end she never looked likely.
