1st: #11 Show Me How To Live (Mo Mentum Farm/M. Franco): Settled into the two-path with one horse beat entering the backstretch. Patiently-handled before being angled seven-wide rounding the bend. Tremendous momentum took him to 4th entering the stretch. Inhaled the competition at the sixteenth-pole and continued to draw off through the wire while full of run.
2nd: #7 Proud Bo (TwinTowersRacing/A. Cedillo): Caught three-wide around the first turn, but able to stalk from the two-path going down the backside. Moved between runners rounding the bend. Made the lead, briefly, at the sixteenth-pole, but could not match the winner’s turn of foot.
3rd: #3 Boardwalk Empire (Smokey Stover/Mario Gutierrez): Part of a four-way go for the early lead, rounded the turn in the two-path before finding the rail and stalking the leader down the backside. Made the lead after six-furlongs but couldn’t hold off the top two.
4th: #1 Quiet Hero (Mb Stables/L. Saez): Rail trip about three lengths off of the early lead.
Congratulations to Show Me How To Live and Mo Mentum Farm on their victory in the G3 Commonwealth Turf! The final time for the 8.5-furlongs was 1:40.95 on the “Good” turf as Show Me How To Live claimed the length-and-a-quarter victory for his fourth win from 10 starts. The winner has now earned $430.600 in his career.
