hmmm…  this is a first.  I’m covering a race that I won… at least I think it’s the first time.  The rain came to FLA for The Sweetest Chant (GIII), but my day was anything but overcast as Blazing Ally, fresh off of the claim for my First Flight Stable, stormed home to get past Broadway Lady in the last few jumps and score the upset win.  She covered the mile and a sixteenth in 1:44.16, and the turf course was rated Yielding for this race.  The classy Broadway Lady, my top choice, did all of the heavy lifting in this one, and you have to guess the footing is the only reason she didn’t win today.  It was another quarter length to Lwaxana in third and Risky Maneuver, the post-time favorite was a length back in fourth.    Nine lengths covered the field.
