Spankersville stalked the pace and took the lead in the stretch, then pulled away by a length. In the process, he earned a 101 SRF and came within a whisker of the stakes record. It was a two-horse race from the start between the eventual winner and Last Way To The Beac.

1 Spankersville (The Sidley Stud) Impressive performance; won by a length.

2 Last Way To The Beac (Maxmillion Farm) Led at every call but the last.

3 Atomic Eclipse (Spankys Barn) Made a late run, but too little too late.

4 Lantern Yard (Avenue Z) Came from last to finish fourth by three.

5 Valvano (Royalty Stables) Close early, then faded to fifth.

6 Simply Magic (Winning Link Stables) Faded to finish last.
