1st: #6 Baptisted By Fire (Mo Mentum Farm/D. Van Dyke): On the outside of a three-way go early.  Put a neck in front entering the turn.  Encountered a new threat at the top of the lane and dug in, gamely, to prevail by a diminishing head.

2nd: #4 Starting Over (TwinTowersRacing): Stalked from two-path behind front-runners.  Drifted-out to run in winner’s hoofprints before moving out another path entering lane.  Was getting to the winner but couldn’t get by.

3rd: #2 American Sky (Iolaus Racing): Tracked leaders from the rail.  Caught some traffic through the turn and into the stretch.  Made a mild rally into 3rd but could not get to the top two.

Baptisted By Fire improves to 41-17-11-2 with earnings of $965.680.  The final time for the 7-furlongs was a sharp 1:21.62.  Congratulations to Baptisted By Fire and Mo Mentum Farm for their G2 Santa Monica victory!
