Eight times out of thirteen, Mercy Authority has made it to the winner’s circle. Six of those came in her last six starts. Can she make it seven?  The only strike against her is that this is her first try at stakes level. If anyone in this field can stop her, it might be Mb Stables’ Retrospect who has been placing at stakes and graded level lately. Dabz (Gdp Inc) looks strong if you throw out the fifth-place finish two back. Most of her work has been on turf, but she won her 2023 debut on dirt.  Here’s the field:

1 Impact (First Flight Stable) Two career wins for this four-year-old filly so far. Won in state-bred allowance company at BEL in May. Has not been back to the winner’s circle in last three starts, including one on turf.

2 Here I Go (Night Mare Racing) Won in allowance company last start for her second win in nine starts. Always competitive but will have her work cut out for her here.

3 Dabz (Gdp Inc) Another one coming in off an allowance win. Put together a string of third place finishes in the summer and fall. Should be in the mix and a win wouldn’t be a surprise.

4 Tunted (Night Rider Stables) Second last out in optional claiming state-bred company. Other than that, hasn’t hit the board since an allowance win in February. Has been competing at open stakes level. Should like this spot better.

5 Retrospect (Mb Stables) Hit the board thirteen of fifteen starts, including a third in her last start in stakes company. Seems in good form and ready to take on this field. Like her chances.

6 Scary Ghost (Arindel) Graded stakes placed, but except for a close second in optional allowance company, she hasn’t been impressive in her last few starts. Wouldn’t count her out, but it will take a top effort to win here.

7 Mercy Authority (Martyparty) You’d have to go back to May 2022 for a race this filly didn’t win, and that was a second. In fact, she has only failed to hit the board twice in thirteen starts. Can she make it seven in a row?
