statebred.gif Purse $125.000 For Three Year Olds And Upward Foaled In ON.
1 Connectivity, trained by Big King
Bought for $250.000 he ran fourth in the BG Stakes for his new owner
just missing out on a KYD spot. His trainer sends him here after
the recent dominance of three year olds with weight allowance
against olders and he has a fair chance of some compensation.
His work times are good and he clearly has ability so despite his
lack of racing you have to put him in your calculations.
2 Mr Relko, trained by On The Map Racing
After winning the Sir Barton Stakes he was let go for an inflated price
and picked up by rookie trainer On The Map Racing. Two runs in overnights
have produced just fair results and those along with a lump of weight on
his back make this race a tough ask for the four year old.
3 Asereje, trained by Rockitpad
This five year old was fourth in the IND Derby as a three year old but has
since failed to set the world on fire. Not without ability he is right in
the reckoning at this level but ay find one or two too good for him.
4 London Dry, trained by Unreal Racing
Has come from impossible positions in his last two to run creditable seconds
but that was in overnight company and he will need to step up here. There
is plenty to like about his work times and his short career record and i
wouldnt be surprised by a good run but he is a long stretch on his current
record.
5 Sunny California, trained by Night Rider Stables
This six year old looks to be a bit of a late developer and i liked the way
he trounced a small field in the mud last time. He seems an honest type and
gets his chance to break through today but he may find it tough giving the
three year olds the weight allowance.
6 Cool Guy Twist, trained by Luz International
This four year old looks a nice sort and would have a big chance if he can
overcome the wide draw bias. An on pace type he has placed in his last four
at this level and deserves a win if nothing else. His works are on the money
so the only question is can he keep going when most fade from this draw.
SUMMARY
I would give Cool Guy Twist a big chance if he wasnt in the wide gate so i
am going with the two three year olds to fight out the finish. Connectivity
should have the class edge but i would like to speculate on London Dry if
his odds are attractive.
