1st: #6 Hard To Forgive (D J C Racing Stables/M. Franco): At the rear of the field as four-way go developed for the lead. Began moving nearing the turn for home before angling to the five path for clear sailing. Unleashed furious rally through the lane to just get up in the final strides.
2nd: #7 Mr Pancake (Arindel/C.J. Hernandez): Five-wide around 1st turn before setting the pace from the three-path down the backside. Got to the rail with more than a half-mile to go. Got away from rivals entering the lane. Got nailed on the wire in a good effort.
3rd: #3 Positive Id (Gdp Inc/J. Loveberry): Part of the pace scrum to the backside. Chased leader throughout but came up a bit flat in the lane.
4th: #1 Essential (Blazin D/A.R. Rodriguez): Taken back to track pace battle. Ran evenly before doing just enough to grab the last check.
Completing the 8.5 furlongs in 1:40.96, Hard To Forgive established a new stake’s record as he improved his bankroll to $483.240.
