12 PIM The Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (GII)
$300.000 3yoF 1 1/8m Dirt 122lbs
Old Hilltop, where old is the keyword, and you better take an Uber to the track. But that’s just RL stuff and we are all safe here. The Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (GII), a mile and an eighth main track stakes for the sophomore fillies looks wide-open. I’m a bit surprised by the field, but we can only handicap what is before us, so I’ll take the lightly raced Alice Springs as the top selection today. She looked good winning that stakes race at TP, and even that fifth in the SA Oaks (GII) was a good effort, so let’s lean on her today. My second choice is also lightly raced with only five starts, and Blind Appeal looked unbeatable until she was. Three wins in a row, then a pair of less than thrilling efforts, but I think she can bounce back today.
Best of luck to everyone and let’s look for a close finish.
