Last Way To The Beac Runs His Best Race to Take Read Stakes

1st Last Way To The Beac Maxmillion Farm Velazquez J R

We knew this horse was good enough to win this race we just didn’t know which horse would turn up today but in the end the best of him turned up. I am pretty sure his trainer would love to know what makes him run like this over his last seven defeats, but I think a major factor apart from the obvious is that he just loves the nine furlongs. Today he bounced to the lead and had the comfort of a soft run round the first bend whilst others were being pushed and pulled into position. He never really asserted but instead, as he does, he just kept grinding away in the lead and nothing came close to getting past him.

2nd Traveller Royalty Stables Lopez P

Well, we are starting to see the three-year-olds take advantage of the weight breaks as they mature faster than the older horses can keep up. He never looked like passing the winner but ran very well considering his inexperience both at this level and in racing in general. The work times told us he was an improving sort and being so comparable to the older horses he was always going to run a decent race and he certainly did that.

3rd Master Of Disguise Mb Stables Garcia Mar

He was the one chosen by the RE to worry the leader all the way, but he never got to him and as they hit the stretch, he looked in trouble. Considering the effort he made, he kept on very gamely for third.

4th Wayward Prince Angelos Stable Saez L

Just couldn’t get to them today as he did in the MTH Stakes but this effort confirms he is on the up and is going to be a regular at this level. I actually think he wants to go further than this and will look forward to seeing how he goes over ten furlongs or more.
