It looked like on form this result was on the cards and bad luck was taken out of the equation by the AI. Now the four-year-olds have started to get their development boost this one is certainly going to be a contender at the highest level.

This consistent six-year-old ran out his race well to get second but never really mounted a challenge at the leader. He certainly seems to need these longer trips at this level, and I wonder whether 12 furlongs will bring out the best in him.

3rd State Cavier Smokey Stover Cohen D

Went off as the race favorite, but I just feel he is a bit better with some give in the ground. He stalked the leader but when asked he had nothing left to give and just whacked away in the end.

4th Rising King Maxmillion Farm Bridgmohan S X

As often happens with sprinters in routes the race engine turns them into deep closers. Whilst he made ground at the end the pace maybe needed to be just a bit quicker for him to really get motoring through the field and in the end the closest he could get was fourth.
