1 The Great Enabler Wood Duck Stables Bravo J
Starting favorite luck was taken out of the equation by the AI as she started well and always looked in command. She put the pedal to the metal after halfway and nothing could go with her and in the end, it was a fairly straightforward win. Drawn the ace it was important she didn’t get too far back and that was probably the winning of this race as she held the rail and made everything else do the work. A five-year-old she certainly looks like she has loved the step up in trip that Wood Duck stable has given her and it will be interesting to see how she fares if she steps up in grade further and faces a full field.
4 Villeneuve Mo Mentum Farm Smith M E
The fairly average early pace allowed this one to stay a little closer than normal but as usual, she got going too late. Closing is always a gamble on this new engine, and I am sure she can win a good race when all the stars align, and the race favors the closers.
2 Shes One Of A Kind Mo Mentum Farm Cedillo A
Started well and went to war with the eventual winner early on but found nothing at the end and paddled into third. A good enough effort but I feel that on speed she doesn’t see out this trip.
3 Gazing Angie Sim Speed Stable Ayuso A
After the resurgence in form, it has to be said she took a step backwards today. It may have been the top weight that blunted her finish, but she never looked likely today.
