Last minute write-up, so my analysis is that it’s an evenly matched field, but Ewa Beach seems to be the class stand-out. You don’t earn $2,400.000 running at MNR… that’s who the Green Card went with, so it sounds like a reasonable pick. He also likes My Girl Makita, staying with the classy aspect… thirteen wins will turn some heads. He also like the speed shown by Glitter Bright, but I think we’d all have to agree that it’s slightly cheaper speed than what she’s faces today. It should be a good one!

She’s still looking for her first ’23 win but has been on the board in a trio of seasonal starts including a nose miss when second in the License Fee at BEL. The last two have been forgettable, so she needs to wake up.

She was rolling along on a good season, showing two recent and scores, including the Sidney at CD, but was up the track at SAR in the Caress, last out. Was that just a bounce? I don’t see an obvious reason for such a bad race.

She won the prep race for this at ELP in her most recent and stays a perfect three for three… she was in a tag for $10.000 two races back, so they found something that got this girl going, and that could spell big trouble for this bunch.

Was third in the Beaumont (GII) at KEE but has had a lot of mediocre races this season. She comes back to the grass looking to wake up, but I have to look at some other in this race.

Won the Mizdirection at SA but was firth in the Intercontinental and Daisycutter, so she’s going to have to regain some of that old form if she wants to win this race. Nine lifetime wins and a ton of cash.. she has class.

She’s hitting on all eight right now, winning the License Fee and Intercontinental (GIII) then was third in the Caress (GIII) at SAR last out. She a horse that has to be give a big shot and may just run these off the track.

Got her first seasonal win taking down Alw foes at ELP in quick time, showing heart to lay a nose on the line. She’ was fourth in the License Fee, so she matches up with a few she’s seen before… this farm won this race last year and has been hot, so…

Purchased via private sale two back and both starts for this trainer have been good ones. She was third in the Dancing Rene, facing NY-breds at BEL, then won the Daisycutter Hcp at SA, by a neck. I think she’s a horse to watch in this one, as well.

All or nothing type that took the Wishing Well (DH) and Royal North Stakes (GII) by only beat one in the Caress (GIII) and likewise in the Royal Heroine (GII). Who shows up for this one? Her best makes her tough.

Had a three-race win streak that included the Senorita (GIII) at SA but was fourth in the Regret (GIII) at CD, and likewise in the Victory Road (GIII). One of those was a mile and an eighth and the other was main track, so you can make an excuse.

Classy ol’ gal shows 14/11/9 from her forty starts, and has been sharp this year, as well. Hasn’t missed the board, won the Giants Causeway and was close in her last trio of starts. This could be a spot for her to add to her bankroll.

She’s never far away, she just doesn’t seem to have that little extra to get her to the winner’s circle. She won her first start of the year, and her last out was a third in the Yellow Ribbon (GIII) going a distance… maybe this is a good spot for her.

The Las Cienegas Stakes (GIII) is her only ’23 stakes score, but she does have an OptAlw win to go with that (last out), and she’s always around, so you have to use her on those tri tickets… and she may have some odds.

Was claimed two back for $37.500, was third in Alw, then won an Alw, both at five and a half and both over the ELP sod. This is an obvious step up in close, but she looks to be improving, third start for the new barn… she has some real up-side.
