1st Gospel Team 7 Illusions Court J K

I thought the rain may make this race tough for this tiny filly but in the end her class was enough to end up a pretty easy winner. Getting a great trip, she extended well in the conditions and won by a length, but I really do feel that this will not be the biggest win of her career. She will miss the rigors of the BC so will be a force to be reckoned with in those late season Fillies stakes races and I think she may turn out to be a decent KYO prospect.

2nd Commie Queen Party Martyparty Garcia Mar

Stalked the leader and kept on pretty well but never looked like holding off the eventual winner when she challenged. Lots to like about her going forward and I am not sure the conditions suited her so expect further improvement.

3rd Hershey Fractious Beschizza A

Made the running but looked vulnerable on the turn and eventually weakened into third as expected in the conditions. A good effort considering she has only just won her maiden.

4th Mad Mad Maple The Sidley Stud Bejarano R

Results in wet going should always be treated with a little creative thinking and whilst this filly ended up a long way back in fourth, I don’t think she is seven lengths worse than the winner.
