It was interesting today that she was taken a bit further back than usual in the early running because I think with these mid pack draws that is exactly the right thing to do, They tend to try and stalk and have to compete with the wide gate speed push and the inside horses trying to hold the rail so being prepared to back out of the battle seems like the right thing to do on this engine. In fact in this very race last year, she ran a similar race, but the wet track found her out and she only managed third. Today however she was a class above her rivals on a dry track and ran away from them in the last furlong for an easy two length win.

2nd Dialing Angelos Stable Crawford J

Showed just how wet tracks can affect form lines by coming back from her terrible run in the Ballerina to run right back to her best today. Just leading with a furlong to run she had gone hard mid race to hold her position and that effort told in the end.

3rd Sweet T Spb Racing Gallardo A A

In only her sixth start the trainer should be very happy with this effort. In the end she was beaten by strength and experience, but she will only get better in the coming years.

4th Failure To Launch Wood Duck Stables Stein J

Went back to last but made nice ground to be in the photo finish for second, losing out in the end to the camera and taking fourth. I think she will be the sort that improves at five so put her on your watch list especially when the trainer finds the balance between stalk and close.
