LCD Ladies Distaff
FG Race #8 1 1/16m Dirt Stake
Purse $100.000 For Fillies And Mares Three Years Old And Upward Foaled In LA.
1 Today Is Mine Threshold Loveberry J 121 —
A lightly raced three-year-old, she has won three of her last four, so clearly has some ability but those wins have been at a lower level than her rivals, so she will have to rely on some improvement to get involved in this.
2 At The Double Asgar Beschizza A 121 —
A fairly consistent sort over shorter trips the big question for her today will be how she sees out this mile and sixteenth. The trip at HRP means less than it does in real life so I see no real problems there and any repeat of her run in the Pea Patch or a decent CD Allowance back in June would see her with a chance from a decent draw.
3 Girl Geek Nakamura Stables Parker D L 121 —
The winner of four from nine she was impressive at PID last time and earned a 96-speed rating so I think she is a capable filly who will probably start favorite to win. Her last effort in a stakes race was in the CA Oaks but a wide draw put an end to her chances there and this race will suit her much better.
4 Glitter Bright Mo Mentum Farm Murrill M 123 —
The only older filly in the race, I have a feeling that could make the difference here and I rather like her chances of upsetting the three-year-olds. Showed herself capable on the dirt last time when third in the Hebert Memorial Stakes and I see no reason why she won’t make the switch back to a longer trip after spending some time sprinting.
SUMMARY
Girl Geek looks like the choice here, but I am going for Glitter Bright to get the win today.
