Get in front and improve position…  at 40/1, none the less.  TwinTowersRacing’s Cioppino did just that, leaving the gate like it was on fire, then setting an undisputed pace in Sunday’s Steady Growth Stakes, cruising home to win by daylight while stopping the clock at 1:40.83 for the mile and a sixteenth, over the WO main track.  Too Short was just that, getting up on the wire for the runner-up spot, taking the photo from Royal Carriage in third, a half-length back, Dreams Of Fire took the minor money.   Five lengths covered the field of six.
