1 Shekinah, trained by Blushing Meadows
A dissapointing field of only four runners but there are a couple of interesting entries
to make this a fun race. This filly isnt far off the best of her age but just hasnt been able
to win a good one after four attempts. Probably her best run came in her last race when she
ran second in the grade two Nassau Stakes taking advantage of the three year olds advantage
over the older horses. She is in the same boat today and must once again have a big chance.

2 Broomsticks Copy, trained by Drabfantasy
Rather typifies the struggle that four year old horses are having at this time of year.
Last seasons champion filly she started off well enough but has struggled ever since as the
four year old development curve catches up. You cant say she has run badly in the three grade
ones she has competed in this year but she has certainly lacked the sparkle that saw her win
the BC race last year. I have pretty much tipped her in every race this year and once again she
looks a very good bet but i am just a bit wary of four year olds at the moment.

3 Mo Ki Missy, trained by Spankys Barn
Another three year old trying to take advantage of the weight allowance she is pretty much working
the same as last years BC champion but receives the 5 Lbs which will certainly make a difference.
Her form is nowhere near good enough with two nice runs in grade three’s resulting in a couple of
money finishes but certainly nowhere near the top two as far as exposed class goes. However this
is HRP and she is working well enough to be right in this at probable long odds.

4 Rip Snortin, trained by Aer Stables
Another classy one who has been struggling as a four year old she has failed to win since her grade
two Canadian Stakes success last year. Her best run was a very close fourth in the Santa Ana Stakes
where she tried to make all and nearly lasted home. You would have to say she should have a big chance
of first or second on form alone and the wide draw and probable speed push will probably ruin her chance
of first.

SUMMARY
If this was a real life race i would be putting the two four year olds clearly in first and second but
this is HRP and of course the exact opposite will probably happen. The two three year olds are working
pretty much the same as the four year olds and have the 5Lb pull in the weights so that may be enough
for an unlikely exacta.
