1st Were Wolf     Riggins Racing     Gaffalione T

I think he was less inconvenienced by the soft track than some others, but he still did the job really well today proving that he can see out the mile after a disappointing effort in the DeMille Stakes last time. It was a slog through the second half of the race, but he had saved some energy through the rather frantic first quarter and once he got to the front, he held them off with relative ease. This was his third win from four starts since being gelded so he clearly has his mind on the job now and he should be a threat at the next level.

2nd Perfect Sunday    Mb Stables      Husbands P

Looked to have chosen the right time to go after the winner but couldn’t quicken on the soft track and chased them in vain down the stretch. This was a decent effort in conditions that didn’t suit but it would still have to be recorded as a little disappointing.

3rd Back Class  TwinTowersRacing   Gonzalez El

Got a long way back and finished well but never got sight of the first two and was definitely third best today.

4th Off Gold    Asgar     Wilson E J

Just whacked away and didn’t look happy in the wet conditions.
