A TwinTowers One Two and whilst I got the finishing order wrong, I was always thinking that this great warrior of HRP was ready to do something like this. There wasn’t much between them in the end, in fact there wasn’t much between first and last as usual, but it was great tactics (or horse lead luck) that won the day with the stalker catching the leader in the shadows of the post. We will probably never know why she was a deep closer on a slower pace last time out and on pace today, it may have been astute tactics, or it may as I mentioned been a bit of race engine luck, but she gained a gutsy and well-deserved win in this early KYO qualifying race.

In a complete 180 in tactics this filly went from closer to front runner today and nearly pulled it off. Could it be that instructions are back or was it just a bit of horse lead inconsistency? Well only the great trainer will know that, and they didn’t get this good by spilling the beans.
I had invested enough Disney Dollars on her nose to win the handicapping comp with one bet, so I was gutted to see the stable companion nut her on the line, but the trainer will be thrilled by this rare occurrence of a one two even if I wasn’t!
3rd Flint Off Asgar Beschizza A
The trainer has been in great form recently, so it was no surprise to see this one run so well even at long odds. Coming from miles off the pace she flew home quicker than both the winner and runner up but could not reach them in time. This effort may well convince the trainer to give her another go at the KYO as she was finishing so well you would think a bit further and she would’ve won.
4th Barbara Big Jd Racing Lopez P
Raced in behind the leader pair but was again a little one-paced at the end. I wonder if some change of tactics may benefit her, but this was a decent effort either way and the trainer will be hopeful of further progress.
