Down to OP we go for a big weekend of racing for the sophomores, and here we catch a full field of twelve set to go a mile and a sixteenth in The Martha Washington, certainly a big prep for the KY Oaks, so who stamps their ticket today? I’ll look for Reflex Action to keep her hot hand going… the D J C Racing Stables owned bay has won three of her last four, including the Frizette (GI) at AQU. He lone bad race was in the BC Juvenile Fillies (GI) where she was last… unexplainably last, in my opinion. I look for another big race today. Her stable-mate, Perp, is another that deserves some attention… she broke maiden at FL, then came back to close a late gap when third in the Starlet (GII) at LA, so she could be part of the festivities. Be Yourself had back-to-back wins, breaking maiden on a wet track at SAR, then winning the Pocahontas (GIII) at CD. She was fourth in the BC Juvenile Fillies (GI) but didn’t show much when ninth in the Demoiselle (GII) to close out her freshman season. You know the Mb outfit can get back on the right side of things, and I think this one will, today. This is one of those tracks where anything can and does happen, so watch for a bomber to light the board.
