Sorry some of these are taking so long… the new (junk) system has 1/2 the stuff the old one had, nothing works right or the same, because what’s more important that delivering a good product?  Saving $.37… In the meantime, how about Smokey Stover keeping the hot hand going as Shadow State takes the Santa Monica Stakes (GII), showing her heart with a closing victory, going under the wire in front by a head while stopping the clock in a snazzy 1:21.81 for the seven panels over the fast main track, here at SA.  Adrift At Sea also closed with a late rush, but just missed the victory while taking the second spot by a neck over Rainy Bronze Party, with Adolph Sniffler another length back in fourth.  Only three lengths covered the field of eight.
