Out to SoCal and The Great Race Place… we catch a nice group of sprinters set to go seven panels in the San Carlos Stakes (GIII), this one is over the main track here at SA.  No reason to change things now, let’s go towards the outside posts positions and take Caveat Emptor as the top pick.  He looked good getting up on the wire to take the Forego at TP, last out, a nice bounce-back from that last place finish over this track in an Alw race, that closed out his ’23 season.  He also has eight seconds in his career, so, he seems to be in the thick of things.  Let’s go right next door and take Be Lucky as the second selection.  He was third in the Palos Verdes (GIII) making his first start for the new barn, after that hostile takeover back in Jan at the $80.000 price.  Nine wins from twenty five starts… speaks for itself.  We will leave the third spot open, but I like Tiz Trippi off of that closing finish in the Toboggan (GIII) at AQU, Retaliate off of his runner up finish over this track in the Palos Verdes (GIII) and Public Information.  But, we can’t pick ’em all…
