I think it’s safe to say that Purple Charger likes, no LOVES, KEE! The Fractious conditioned filly won the Alcibiades (GI) over this oval last fall, and gets another big win taking the Ashland (GI) by a neck, stopping the clock at 1:473 over the (incorrect) sloppy track, here in Lexington. Luz International’s Wasted Away closed a late gap, grabbing the second spot by a length over Ragnar, owned by D J C Racing Stables, then another half length to Alydar Stables’ Right As Rain (pardon the pun) in fourth. Five lengths covered the field of ten, as we had two scratches.
