Friday evening racing with a post-time that doesn’t exist… attention to detail, at every turn.  We look at the field of six set for the Doubledogdare Stakes (GIII) a mile and a sixteenth test over the main oval here at KEE, and it’s an interesting field with the set weight of 123lbs… The Green Card says to go to the rail and take Present Tense as the top choice, and I’m on board with that one.  She won $600.000 last season, has won both of her ’24 starts, was only a length back in the BC Distaff… ok, you get the picture, big horse, big barn… big expectations.  Afar is another that is consistent in bringing home checks, and takes the second spot on The Card‘s picks.  A 4/8/8 record tells you, she’s just a length here and a neck there from bringing home a ton more money… both of her on-the-board seasonal finishes were on the grass, but she’s run well on the main track, so she’s an interesting choice, for me.
