Small Field May Pave the Way for a Morning Quickie

Young Memorial Futurity – Fillies
EVD   Race #2   5 1/2f   Dirt   Stake
Purse $100.000  For Fillies Two Years Old Foaled In LA.

1 Winter Earthquake, trained by Temecula Downs
Its a pretty sad state when only 4 runners turn up for a $100.000 first prize but
the nice thing about it is that we see four stables fight for good purse and none
of them are the veterans we normally see in these races. This filly won her maiden in
good style last time and has been working nicely so should give a good account of
herself.

2 Im Pleased, trained by Guidy Jnr
Won her maiden and then raced well at allowance level she is probably the best worker
in the race so probably has the best chance of a win.

3 Morning Quickie, trained by Court Jester Racing
Probably the most impressive maiden winner in the field she also ran well without cashing
in an allowance race last time. Not the fastest worker but this extra distance will suit
and she is right in it.

4 Big Bad Force, trained by Allinthegate
Won on this track on debut she the plodded through the mud to be second in her allowance
start. Better going today will help her chances and the wide gate may see her lead so
depending on pace she may prove hard to catch.

SUMMARY
On form there is nothing between them and on works there is about a length so it wont
take much to change the result in this race from what is expected. On work times i would expect
Im Pleased to shade it but i have a liking for Morning Quickies so she will be my choice today.
