Wet Track Sees Rudimental Make It Three in a Row

1st Rudimental Fractious Salles L

The weather certainly played its part in this race, but it didn’t change the fact that the two stables that have been mopping up the HRP cash all year continued to dominate. This improving filly made it three in a row getting the perfect trip in behind the speed gradually piling it on down the stretch and winning by a fairly comfortable length. The ground conditions slowed the closers enough that this race was always going to be dominated by those in the top half of the field. This filly has won black type twice in a row and has won two from three on a wet track, which thanks to the weather these days, is an essential skill. Her next race will really test her, but she looks like she is ready.

2nd Smokin Shimmer Mb Stables Moran D

As expected, the Mb horse went on the pace but once again the thorn in the champion trainers side came along and took the prize off him. Dropping back in trip and going on speed can often make a horse look a bit one paced and she had no answer when the winner leveled up.

3rd Kuul Off Asgar Wilson E J

Kept on well enough for third, but the wet track blunted her finish enough that she never looked like getting near the winner.

4th Humidity Factor Fractious Contreras L

Look like I picked the wrong Fractious runner as making ground in the wet off a sensible pace is impossible on this new engine. I thought there would be more speed in this race and whilst it was good, it wasn’t enough to slow the leaders enough.
