Now with two of these big-ticket stakes races to his name he is beginning to look like he could be a real contender in the BC Sprint if he can drum up enough points before November. At age 5 he has reached full maturity and being three from three so far looks to have reached the height of his ability. In his normal stalk position today, he had to really dig deep to get the win and though he may still be a bit better with some moisture in the ground he certainly proved he has the heart to win on a dry track.

2nd Lord Punchline Avenue Z Franco M

Closed hard and very nearly got there but it is incredibly hard on this engine to get the timing right on those late runs in sprints and he just failed. Another five-year-old that has found improvement at that age he is sure to be a factor at this level going forward.

3rd Public Information D J C Racing Stables Moore R L

Went right up on speed from the ace draw and kept battling all the way to the line. This was another game performance from this consistent sprinter who made a trifecta of five-year-olds who have found some improvement later in life.

4th Last Round Fractious Velazquez J R

Sat in behind the speed out of the gate but got a little trapped on the rail and had to wait for the gap to make his challenge. Once he saw clear air, he was a bit flat footed and though he made ground very late could not get into a challenging position. Still only a three-year-old, he will have plenty of time to improve on this effort.
