As expected, she went to the lead and pretty much had the race won by halfway. This remarkable filly will now have her sights on the older fillies and mares as she marches on to the BC. Allowed to dictate as she had in the BEL Oaks, she ran pretty much the same splits for pretty much the same result although as they ran to the line the runner up got a little closer than she had in the BEL Oaks but that did little more than quicken the pulse a little. A three-year-old with ten wins and over $2,500.000 in prize money she really is a brilliant horse, and a BC double would cap off another remarkable season.

2nd Right As Rain Alydar Stables Bridgmohan S X

Stayed a little closer to the winner in the run than she did in the BEL Oaks but once again could not run her down although this was a real brave effort. The trainer will be sick of the sight of Let Me Explain but this filly is getting closer to her race by race, and this effort will have given them hope of getting the best of the champ before the end of the year.

3rd The Desire Sheffler Stables Gallardo A A

The first two were clearly the best in the race but this filly won the race of the rest, and it was a nice effort from this consistent sort.

4th Doubtful Gal TwinTowersRacing Geroux F

Tried to push the winner early but paid the price for that weakening into fourth. The tactics were probably the right ones to give her any chance of beating let Me Explain, but she was not up to it today.
