2 WO Breeders Stakes
$400.000 3yo 1 1/2m Turf 122lbs
We spared no expense in handicapping this one… the final leg of the Canadian Triple Crown… utilizing “the team” at franco Inc., we’ve come to the conclusion that either Mb Stables or Mo Mentun Farm will win this race. I know, I know… quite the statement, but we go to far lengths to ensure a quality product!
All foolishness aside, this looks like a crackerjack race, ignoring two barns and five entrants in a $400.000 race… signs of the time, for sure.
Both The Card and I agree with the top two picks in this one, and that’s the duo from Mb. Charlie Jace was a $275.000 purchase from the Arindel dispersal, broke maiden at first asking and then just missed a nose to Duke Of Love (in this race today) in the Kings Plate. I think the bigger break between races gives him the edge. As much as I’d like to put Duke Of Love in the second spot, Mo will stop talking to me such as his bad-luck-charm, so let’s give Prickly the second spot, fresh off of that third in the field at KD. He was fifth in the Kings Plate, but again, I’m not makin’ Mo mad!
