Whomever was talking smack on Albaquirky way back when, some few months ago… I think you owe both horse and trainer an apology.  Now a 6yo, the bay gelding has won at 5f, and now at a mile and a quarter as he closed down the far outside of the field in the John Henry Turf (GII) and adds another feather to his turf-laden cap.  The final running time for the Santan Stables owned charge was 1:57.57, and the winning margin was a long length (another “feature” that needs to be fixed).  Cascade King tried to give it a go, but just could not match strides late, settling for the second spot, then another length to post-time favorite Rearranger in third, with Penal Hockey Player a neck back in fourth.  Five lengths covered the field of six.
