On paper this was a race of inches and in reality, it turned out exactly that as the field finished in a heap with this filly coming out on top. It remains a mystery as to why she started so badly in the Music City last time, but she made up loads of ground at the end and went into a few black books for a race like this. Today she went back to her normal racing style just in behind the speed and battled gamely for a nose win. I feel this filly has got a real good future on either surface after taking her time to break her duck as a three-year-old.

I had a feeling that this one was ridden by the AI as a sprinter that wouldn’t get the trip without real restraint in the DG Oaks last time and she proved how good she was over shorter trips today by very nearly getting up for the win. Like the winner, I feel this one has a good future and may turn out to be a good four-year-old around the mile.,

3rd Tufani D J C Racing Stables Castellano J J

Stalked the speed and got to the front with a furlong to run but just couldn’t keep up the gallop close home. She has lots of speed but not so much stamina but that will come with maturity, and I feel she will make a good short course sprinter in time.

Stormed home from a poor start; this was a nice step up on her previous form and she certainly seems to be improving.
