Well, the 1.09 and 1 work may have meant nothing with regards to race performance but what it did tell us was that the improvement fairy had visited his stable and today he ran a career best race to win fairly easily by a length. It is a shame that this improvement didn’t come earlier in the year as he looks like he could’ve been a BC contender in this form, but the trainer will be very happy with this performance and be looking to some big prizes next year.

Fell out of the gate as always despite the trainer screaming at Lezcano in the pre parade ring to go fast for the first half of the race. Despite giving them a start he ran on well over this longer trip and ended up second his best result since being bought for $41.000

3rd Tom Kha Gai High Voltage Centeno D E

Used the wide gate speed push to lead them up but may have found the 12 furlongs too far as he weakened into third.

4th Seven Is Lucky Mb Stables Velazquez J R

Held a good enough spot but just stayed on at the one pace.
