The public had this one nailed as the running order was in-line with the odds… this was all about Riggins Racings‘ Rastaban as he controlled the pace throughout Saturday’s Twilight Derby, running away from the field down the lane to score by four widening lengths. As the even money favorite, he set a new stakes record, stopping the clock at 1:44.83 for the mile and an eighth over the firm SA lawn. Jersey Joe nosed out Hereslookinatya for the place, then a gap of two back to Zensation grabbing the minor money. Eight lengths covered the field of five. .
